Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C., January 9, 1914, by three young African-American male students. The Founders, Honorable A. Langston Taylor, Honorable Leonard F. Morse, and Honorable Charles I. Brown, wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service.

Each scholarship has been named in honor of highly renowned members of the Chi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., founded in 1914, is an international organization of collegiate and professional men bearing as its motto, “Culture for Service and Service for.

Beta Psi Sigma is a chapter dedicated to the high principles of the Fraternity: Brotherhood, Scholarship and Service. These principles are embedded in our motto, “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.”.

The Mu Delta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was chartered 2003 as one of the youngest Alumni Chapters in New York. The Alumni Chapter carries on the rich tradition Community Service and Social Programming established by collegiate chapters on Long Island.

Alpha Delta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Scholarship Applicant Criteria, 2019 The men of Alpha Delta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Fraternity, Inc. announce two scholarship awards (see below). Applicants may apply for one scholarship. The submission of materials must be postmarked by May 30, 2019. The Chapter will notify.

The basis of the Education program lies in the traditional emphasis that the Fraternity places on education. During the 1945 Conclave in St. Louis, Missouri, the Fraternity underwent a constitution restructuring which led to the birth of education as an international program.

The program identifies Black Scholars from school districts in Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, and Wayne counties. Phi Beta Sigma supports this endeavor by awarding scholarships to young men or women attending a college in the rochester area.Learn more.

The Kappa Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. hosts a number of fund raising events each year in the Central Texas area. The proceeds from these events benefit the Ecolia A. Dunn Scholarship Fund.
